Living wall prototyping and reuse of materials.

Whist working with David Veron, Director at UNU, he compared my IAM fuel material to a product he had seen at a trade show.

The Nordcell, fuelled my idea to turn IAM in to a living wall.

My initial prototype failed but later experiments applying the polymer to hemp matting worked really well. These models will be used in my  end of year Hand-in

There was a lot of materials needed for this living wall concept, so I used old failed prototypes of which I had loads to make this living wall.

I made a wood pannel for my living wall 

I used cling film to protect the wood, then applied the polymer.

The polymer was later re-used in the hemp matting living wall.

I’m pleased that i have had the opportunity to prove the re-use ability of the IAM material. the Material can’t be re used as packaging if contaminated with food, however the material could be reused in other application, or simply reducing waste.A video showing the re use of polmer.
