Finishing the tray design with an etched infographic.

The label clearly telling the shopper that this tray is different IAM fuel.

The black colour of the tray is intentional, telling the consumer through previous packaging experience that this tray is for the black bin, to be incinerated as part of normal waste.

Because the tray is burned as part of regular waste the question asked by Will Mercer about contamination and mixed waste doesn’t apply, because the safe guards set in place by veolia incinerator to cope with chemicals, the waste plant incinerator burns generall rubbish which commonly include toxic materials. However IAM fuel is made from organic materials currently used in biofuels therefore I am confident that IAM isn’t toxic when used as fuel.

We tried to etch into the bottom of the tray (inside) but it wasnt very successful because of the side walls of the tray interrupting the sequence of the lazer arm.

I got round this by making a perspex plate which I fit in to a tray, then applied the polymer over the entire mold to get an embossed logo on the inner.

I wanted the logo on the inside to remind the cook what to do with their tray.
