After discussions with Senior lecturer at Leeds Beckett Ian Fletcher  about mushrooms growing in coffee granules as part of one of his socially conscious projects, I thought I’d give my previously designed prototype mushroom paper a dose of the waste coffee gradual.

I made a mushroom growing bag out of an old dress, I then hung the paper granules in the bag in my bathroom.

I was hoping the dark moist environment would harvest mushrooms… I’m still waiting.

Other things I learned: Mushrooms are very high in protein.
