A big part of any project is time keeping, project managing. During interviews I have given examples of the project management of university projects.

My impression is it’s a trivial example.

I disagree.

When organising a project, when studying product design, the options are infant! It’s exciting, however accessing the expertise to help you bring a project to fruition is arguably the same as in industry: One has to sell the project; To excite the lecturer or the university technician into helping YOU… after all there are hundreds of other students all asking for their help.

The university has short opening hours, staff have time away; it’s a far cry from the work place of industry where a person will be where you think they are doing the job advertise during the hours of your study. The savi students, make friends, create authentic bonds to get their projects finished, just like in industry. We all buy from people we like.
