Project 2 Year 3 Sketchbook page 26 – Simply Candy – Make to test

I enjoy developing products from concept to brand, working with Simply candy is exciting because it is a small company with big sales potential.

I have a visit to London planed and because of this access to little people to test the sweets. I chose to invest some time pre trip to capitalize on the taste tasting opportunity.

The images below are developing the ingredients, making and looking at potential off the shelf sustainable packaging.

The window on the packaging pictured is made out of sugarcane, I thought using a waste product from sugar, a key ingredient in the boiled sweet range would potentially make a good media story, one that the vegan – sustainably driven customers of Simply candy might resonate with.

Modeling droplets of sweets – The idea being that a person can choose how many they want in their mouth at one time. choosing small sweets is linked to watch how people choose to treat themselves. some people like so scoff, others like to nibble. this idea allows the customer to choose.
