Project 2 Year 3 Sketchbook 15 – Interning at the retail institute

Interning at the retail institute

I’ve really enjoyed working on the case study for the retail institute.

However, I didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere with the work, and it was just distracting me from my university project. As there is little urgency for the case study  portfolio booklet  to be finished I have decided, along with Olga at the retail institute  to finish it after my final university project is complete.

I envisage a period of time, after hand in but before graduating where I will have time and the space to tie up loss ends like this and update my portfolio, also there is my Smart sock and vegan sweets that I have put on the back burner and am keen to complete.

Images below show iterations of layout and artwork that I have done so far.

What isnt explained in the images below is the format of text which Olga Munro and I have agreed is

Problem (50 words)

What is the specific problem you identified within the brief topic? Who experiences this problem, and how does it impact them?

Process (75 words)
How did you investigate this issue – what were your key insights? What journey did you go through to get to your final solution?

Solution (50 words )
What is your proposed solution? How will it solve the problem?

This is a format suggested in the RSA awards I really like it, its simple with a, who, what why structure that works for me. Also this structure is recognised as a design text layout when showcasing design.
