Because of the smoldering burn quality I dropped the carton board pulp, I needed a binding agent ( paper is naturally high in lignin a natural glue) I used potato starch in the mixture as a binding setting agent this also had the positive effects of glossy look and moisture and gas barrier, important considerations when protecting food and preserving.
