The stereo typical food of choice the baked been. I must have been feeling flush as they are HEINZ. I chose beans as they are in a sauce. I wanted to test if the sauce lifted the starch polymer away from the fibre during refrigerated storage and then during the cooking process.
The good news, the tray didn’t burn or set on fire ( a Instergram follower was concerned). even though the trays are designed to be incinerated post consumer use, the tray works better than a plastic in the oven, the tray doesn’t warp, or get scalding hot to the touch.
The bad news the fibres lifted away slightly when I was removing the beans. I need to create a smoother finish to the tray.
I’m considering creating layers like a laminated board, after all I don’t need to be able to separate the materials post use because the tray is designed for burn and or anaerobic digestion.
Images below show the tray been ( laugh) used, refrigeratored, cooked and future blogs burnt.
