Leeds Beckett campus-recycling bins

From walking around campus, I discovered a need for a circular design system.

One that educated, and gave a real reason to choose to recycle up Cycling over throwing away.

This observation was made whilst watching people and how they discarded their grab and go waste whilst on campus.

The provision for recycling is limited at Leeds Beckett city campus.  Often the recycling bins are situated away from the journey that students mak,  not where a person drinking and eating convenience foods would need to discard their wrappers and cups while hurrying to a lecture. (The bins are often at the shop entrance)

The design would be a product and system which would include, bins at measured points, an estimate on eating drinking times after the point of sale. I considered an app with bin location points, for this to work a gameifaction so that the user is rewarded.

This lead on to Stomp coffee cup. A cup designed using waste materials that when composted returned minerals back to arable soils.
