Earlier observations showed a need for a circular design module to support convenience packaging. (See previous blogs) considering materials, waste materials, infer-structure of redistribution to up cycle waste.

Through these observations I concluded that when considering a packaging Material, there isn’t one solution.

So Stomp material becomes two.

The ‘stomp’ cup, which is made out of porcelain, with added waste products straw or Flax. Both these materials are grown in agriculture for human and animal consumption both also have waste, of which can be used back in the food chain of farming once the fibres have been processed, increasing the value through release of sugars and proteins. Both the paper making process, and mixing the fibres in to porcelain and firing, will prepare these fibres so that they can be used in composting, giving back nutrients to the earth.

Paper material can also be used as a clean bio-fuel replacing the need for power stations such as Drax to import wood chip, of which is destroying the equivalent of 20 football fields of forests everyday.

Many of these forests are FCA, however the energy it takes to cut down process and ship is not a green option, although it is considered better than the use of Coal, which is why the British government supports Drax Power Station and its conversation to bio-fuel ( wood chip) why it is considered a green power station. stomp out waste material, although could not entirely replace wood chip. Stomp paper material could support.
